From Design to Doorstep: How to Get Your Labels Fast (Without the Stress)

We get it—running a business is a whirlwind. You’re juggling inventory, customer service, and marketing, and sometimes you don’t realize you’re out of labels until you’re staring at an empty roll and a pile of unfulfilled orders. You need them fast.

At Mak Printing Inc., we pride ourselves on speed. We love being the "rescue team" that gets your labels to your door right when you need them. But here’s the "insider" secret: the fastest way to get your order isn't just about how fast our printers spin—it’s about how "print-ready" your files are. When a design file is perfect, it skips the line. When it’s not, we have to pause, email you, wait for a reply, and fix the file. That’s time we’d both rather spend getting your product shipped.

The "Why Does This Look, Brown?" Mystery

The biggest culprit for delays is the Color Gap. Your computer screen uses light (RGB) to show you colors. It can show neons and glows that don't actually exist in the world of ink. Printers use physical ink (CMYK). If you send us a design in RGB, our machines have to "guess" how to print it. To make sure that Mustard Golden wall color you love doesn't turn out like a dull tan, always check that your design software is set to CMYK. It ensures that what you see on your screen is what shows up at your door.

The "Bleed" and the "Safe Zone"

Think of "Bleed" as your insurance policy. Our cutting machines are incredibly fast, but they can occasionally shift by a hair’s breadth. If your background color stops exactly at the edge, you might end up with a tiny, annoying white sliver on one side. By extending your background color 3mm past the edge (the bleed) and keeping your text 3mm inside the edge (the safe zone), you guarantee a professional, centered look every single time.

Vector: The Gold Standard

If you send us a grainy JPEG or a screenshot from your phone, we can't make it look sharp. It’s going to look "fuzzy" on your product, and you deserve better than that. Whenever possible, send us a Vector file (.AI, .EPS, or a high-res PDF). Vectors use math instead of pixels, which means we can scale your logo to the size of a billboard or shrink it to a 1-inch circle without losing a single drop of clarity.

When your files are clean, our team can hit "Print" the moment your order drops. Let’s work together to keep your business moving at the speed of light.
